digital scrapbooking software {review & giveaway!}

I was recently asked to review some digital scrapbooking software...My Memories Suite! I have been wanting to dabble in digital pages but didn't really want to spend alot on any particular software...not knowing if I would like using it or not. When this opportunity came along I decided to give it a go!

Now I don't have alot of experience with other programs so I don't have anything to compare it too. But my first impressions were that this scrapbook software is fairly easy to navigate and figure out. It comes with lots of backgrounds, embellishments, fonts, etc....and there are plenty more on their website to download...many for free! I also found this site that has some great video tutorials on using the software!

So far I have created 2 pages....

This page I made by picking a background and embellishments that came with the digital software. I just added the pics I wanted, journaled and was good to go.

Next, I thought I would try a quick page. This was a free download from My Memories online store. Once I downloaded the quick page, I just added the picture with some journalling and my page was complete! So quick and easy...and I just love the banners!

Check out the My Memories blog for more project ideas!

Does this software sound like something you might be interested in?! Well guess what....I have a copy of the digital software to giveaway to one lucky blog reader!!! Here's how to enter....Just visit My Memories and leave a comment telling me what your favorite digital paper pack, quick page or layout is. Become a follower for a second entry...just leave an additional comment letting me know you did so {or a comment letting me know you already are a follower}. A winner will be drawn on Tuesday, Sept 6th!

infinity scarf...

I saw this infinity scarf at Old Navy the other day and thought it was super cute but didn't want to pay $15 for it. Plus I had been seeing tutorials around blogland...so I've had in the back of my head that I would try making one.

I had gotten a remnant of knit fabric at Hancock Fabrics a month or so ago. It was just a long and narrow piece...perfect for a scarf! So I evened up the sides and then sewed the ends together...creating an infinity scarf!

Here are 4 ways I thought it could be worn.... 1.just hanging long. 2.wrapped around once, creating a double loop, with one loop long and one close to neck. 3.wrapped around once, same double loop as #2 but top loop is looser. 4.wrapped around 2 times...creating a triple loop bunched close to your face.

I love the teal/grey combo! Plus the weight of the scarf is light enough it could be worn year round. Best of all, my scarf only cost me $1.60!
