Breaded Tilapia Sticks

I am always looking for new recipe ideas for fixing tilapia. We always have it in the freezer from sales at Meijer. I rarely pay more than $3.99 a bag. It was just recently on sale for $2.99! I had it on the menu for last night so I decided to try and make fish sticks with it. They turned out great!

Ingredients:
3/4 cup flour
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 cup italian bread crumbs
4 tilapia fillets...cut into equal size strips

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, milk and egg. Place bread crumbs in pie plate. Coat fish with egg mixture, then bread crumbs. Place on a large baking sheet {I coated with cooking spray to prevent sticking}. Cook for about 12 minutes, turning sticks over halfway through cooking time.

Love this! I make something similar, but fried on the stovetop. I'm going to try this next! I'm also going to feature it next month on www.tilapiablog.com.
