Sugar {Lip Scrub}

I don't know about you but this winter has been hard on my lips!  They have been CRUSTY, peeling, dry and just plain hurting.  So I went to my trusty friend Pinterest and found several recipes for a DIY lip scrub. I chose one using only 3 ingredients....

...sugar, honey and vasoline.  I found a cocoa butter vasoline at my local dollar store and loved the smell it brought to the scrub!

Mix the ingredients together and store in a cute little container!  ;)

Now get exfoliating!  Just put a dab of the scrub on your finger and rub on your lips for 30-60 seconds.  Then rinse off using warm water.  Pat them dry and apply your favorite lip balm.  I have been doing this everyday for about a week and my lips feel great!

Ingredients:
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp honey
1 tsp vasoline

Mix together and get to exfoliating your lips!!!

Back to school {teacher gifts}

Little Bit and I are enjoying our last few days of summer before back to school next week!  We have meet the teacher night on Monday evening.  She is excited to see her classroom, meet the teacher and see what friends might be in her class!  One thing I think is fun {and we did last year} is take a gift for the teacher.  I wanted it to be something useful...and cute of course!

I saw this idea and love Ball jars, so went with it for my inspiration.  I took a blue Ball jar {found at Joann Fabrics} and filled it with pencils, pens, sharpies, highlighter and dry erase markers.  Then I attached a jar shaped tag with the teachers name on one side and the saying {Can't wait to have a "BALL" with you this year in class!}

Here are a few other ideas that I thought were super cute as well...

I just love the Method hand soaps you can find at Target.  How cute are these with the tag saying "If I can give you a hand please call"

I also loved this one....my future is looking "sharp" with you as my teacher!  A Ball jar would be cute filled up with sharpies with that tag attached.

Several sites featured back to school survival kits that looked like they could be fun to put together.  Just get a cute basket, tin or even a fun cup/mug and include items like chapstick, gum or mints, chocolate, hand sanitizer, lotion, personal sized kleenex, bandaids, post it notes, etc...

Are you planning on doing any little back to school gift for your child's teacher?  I would love to hear!

Magicstick review...

Before Christmas I was asked if I would feature the Magicstick by Powerocks on my blog.  I was super excited to try it and out and knew it would be perfect for my hubby.  He uses his smart phone for everything and is needing to charge several times in a day.  I received it right before Christmas so I wrapped it up and let the hubs open it on Christmas morning. ;)  He had been wanting to try one and now had the chance!

It is super light weight and fits in the palm of your hand.  It is very easy to travel with and super easy to use!  It comes with the cord you need to connect to your computer for charging the Magicstick and for charging your electronic devices.

My husband loves that he can easily have it plugged into his phone and still use the phone.  You don't have to worry about being close to an outlet or stretching a cord across the room!  He takes it to work with him, uses it on the go and around the house.

I think this will come in extra handy when we are on vacation....especially out all day in Disneyland {which is where we are going on our next adventure!}  We use our phones alot when at Disney...to see wait times for rides, character meet and greet schedules, park maps and of course taking pictures!  With the Magicstick we won't have to worry about our phones dying before we get back to the hotel to charge them!

I highly recommend the Magicstick if you are an on the go person and constantly using your electronic devices.  We have definitely found it to be quite useful!

Thanks so much to Powerocks for supplying me with a Magicstick to try.  All opinions are my husbands and mine.
