Creative Corner...scrap club

June has come and gone...that means another layout for scrap club to post! We had a masculine/office theme this month. I loved the brown and blue color scheme. These pictures from hubby's first Father's Day worked great with on this page!

Jamie and I offered an incentive to club members, if they bought all 6 months of the first layout they got a bonus page and if they bought all 6 months of both layouts they got 2 bonus pages. This is what we came up with....this fruit paper and stamp set is sooooo cute!!!

To see more scrap club pages or for information on joining...check out Jamie's Stamping Cafe.

Creative Corner...scrapbook deals

This week at Hobby Lobby scrapbook albums and refill pages are on sale 50% off. I already have so many pages for Little Bits album...and I am only up to 3 months...so I knew I was going to need 2 albums to contain pages from year 1 of her life. I figured this was a great time to get them since they were half off. I recently ordered an American Crafts D-ring album to use for Christmas pages and think it is great! It is much roomier than most other albums. I discovered that Hobby Lobby carries a few of these albums. So that's what I got. They were only $10 each after the discount! I went ahead and stocked up on page protectors since they were on sale too.

Plus, 2 of the magazines I ordered were for multiple years.

I went to Target today to pick up a Cool Mist Humidifier for my daughter's room. While I was there I decided to see what deals I could score with some coupons that were about to expire. Creative Corner...clear stamps

I LOVE clear stamps! They are just so easy and fun to use. Being clear it makes it so easy to line them up and place the image or wording exactly were you want it. I am looking forward to using them soon!

Almond-Coconut Tilapia

I tried this new recipe last week and it was so good it is back on the menu for this week. I scored an awesome deal on Tilapia last week at Meijer so we have plenty. They had 1 lb. bags for $5.99 and they were B1G1 free, plus I had coupons for $2.00 off per bag. So I got them for like .99 cents a bag!!! Yeah for Meijer MealBox! If you haven't checked it out yet...do so here.

Now for the recipe...

Tilapia prep:
4 Tilapia fillets
2 Tbsp melted butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (If using frozen fish, check the packaging to see what temperature to cook the fish at.) Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Place tilapia in dish flesh side up (If your fish still has skin on...I use the frozen kind that is skin free.). Season fillets with salt, pepper, and paprika. Use as much or little as you like. Brush the fillets with the melted butter. Place in oven and bake for about 5 minutes. Remove and add about 2 Tbsp topping per fillet. Put fish back in the oven and back 5-8 more minutes.

1/3 cup slivered almonds
1/3 cup coconut flakes
1/3 cup bread crumbs
4 Tbsp melted butter

Mix all ingredients together and top fish after about 5 minutes of baking.
