STAINMASTER stain removers at Meijer

Meijer is teaming up with STAINMASTER to offer a brand new stain remover line.  The new line includes carpet, pet, and rug stain removers.  Have you ever wondered why you can clean a stain and sometimes later you can still see that spot again?  Well, some stain removers can leave a sticky residue that can attract dirt over time.  The breakthrough technology of the new STAINMASTER line is designed to remove tough stains and repel dirt to protect against resoiling.  This helps keep your carpet looking its best!

We have a rug in our mudroom that get all kinds of dirt and grime tracked on it.  There was a spot of ground in mud that was the perfect candidate for me to test out the stain remover.  I sprayed some on the spot and let it sit for 5 minutes.  Then I used a damp paper towel and dry paper towel to soak up the stain and cleaner.  The spot was gone!  One thing I really like is that the smell of the cleaner is fairly mild.  I have used some stain removers before that gave me a headache they were so strong.  The mild smell is a big plus in my book.

Make sure you stop by your local Meijer and pick up a bottle of your own to try.  Now through October 10 you can clip an mPerks coupon for $.50 off a 22 oz. bottle.  Just sign in to your mPerks account, click on coupons and then type STAINMASTER in the search box.

STAINMASTER would love to hear what you think too.  So after you pick up a bottle and try the product write your own review here.

While I received a free sample of the product to try and was compensated for this post, all opinions are my own.

Avengers prize pack....enter now!

The second Avengers movie is hitting theaters on May 1st and I'm partnering with Meijer to celebrate the launch!  If you are a super hero fan, chances are you love the Avengers.  So keep reading to find out how to score an awesome Avengers prize pack!

Avengers-themed products are currently on the shelves at Meijer.  Kellogg’s, Nestle, and Dr. Pepper are all offering limited edition Avengers: Age of Ultron packages for products like Corn Flakes, Cheez-Its and fruit snacks.  Plus, check out Meijer mPerks where you can clip some coupons for extra savings on Avengers merchandise.

I created 2 movie night snacks that would be great for munching while watching the first Avengers movie, whether it is your first viewing or you just need a refresher before the second one is released.  Little Bit had fun helping with the first snack...we call it Movie Mix.

The ingredients we used were Skinny Pop popcorn, Meijer alphabet shaped pretzels, raisins and Avengers Cheez-Its & fruit snacks.  We had fun finding letter pretzels to spell out Avengers and adding them to our mix.  It would also be fun to find letters to spell all the super hero's names!

For our individual bowls we used a half cup each of popcorn and Cheez-its.  {I think Little Bit added more Cheez-its to hers...She loves them!} Then we added our special pretzel letters, a packet of fruit snacks and small box of raisins to each bowl.

Just toss with a spoon or your hand and enjoy with a yummy Avengers Dr. Pepper!  I just love the combo of the Cheez-its, pretzel and popcorn.  So much salty goodness!!!

Little Bit's favorite is Captain America, so I decided to make a fruit tray using his shield as my inspiration.  I started by washing and slicing my strawberries.  Then I laid them around the edge of the plate, mixing in some grapes as well.  Then I added a ring of mini marshmallows.  In the center of the "shield" I added some fruit dip, with an "A" for Avengers cut from a strawberry!

Fruit Dip
Ingredients:
8 oz. vanilla yogurt
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Generous squirt of whipped topping

Directions:
Mix ingredients together until everything is incorporated.  Enjoy eating with your favorite fruit and marshmallows!

Now who's ready to win an Avengers prize pack?!

Everything in these 2 pics is up for grabs.....Avengers 1 DVD, Avengers themed cereals & fruit snacks, 2 t-shirts, Hulk action figure, large plush Captain America, Hulk & Iron Man toys and a fleece blanket!

Just leave me a comment letting me know your favorite Avengers character!  Giveaway will end Sunday, April 26th and I will announce the winner on Monday!

Thanks to Meijer for sponsoring this giveaway.  All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Easter basket goodies...

Easter is this coming Sunday so I'm sure many of you are starting to put together baskets of goodies for your kiddos, grand-kids or other special little ones in your life.  I thought it would be fun to share what my basket for Little Bit consists of.  Plus share some of our old and new traditions!

One thing Little Bit looks forward to in her basket are a few candy treats.  This year she is in love with Twix eggs.  ;)  So I've included a couple of those, some Reese's eggs, gum & a Spongebob Pez (she LOVES Spongebob).

She is also into surprise toys or blind bags at the moment.   These are items that come in a container or bag and you don't know exactly what you are going to get.  We have been Lalaloopsy fans for a few years now, so when I saw these blind bags at Meijer I picked up 2 for her basket.  Shopkins are another fun one she is excited to collect, so 2 of those made their way into her basket as well.

Little Bit still loves playing play-doh.  So I picked up a 4 pack.  I plan to hide a couple little dolls inside the play-doh, forming it into an egg shape.  This is another surprise item for her to enjoy!

A favorite tradition Little Bit loves is hunting for eggs around the house Easter morning.   Most of the eggs are empty or hard boiled but a few have a little surprise (money!)

I also love to include practical things in her basket.  Her favorite color is blue at the moment, so when I saw this cute top at Meijer I knew she would love it!  Plus it has some bling on the pocket...win, win!  ;)  A toothbrush is another item I like to include.  I found this cute Hello Kitty one in the travel product section.

Finally I love including a soft and cuddly stuffed animal in her basket.  She loves her "buddies"!  Isn't this bunny adorable?!

Right now at Meijer you can snag one of these for FREE when you buy 3 cards from American Greetings.  They have grey and white bunnies available.  You could buy some cards for your child's teachers, grandkids, neighbors, neices or nephews or any other special person you have in mind!  They have a wide selection of cards to choose from.

So head to Meijer this week to pick up your 3 cards and get your free bunny!  While you're there check out all the wonderful goodies available to fill your ultimate Easter basket.

Thank you to Meijer for sponsoring this post.  All opinions are my own.

wake up your walls {Meijer gift card giveaway!}

The holidays are right around the corner and what perfect time to reflect on those who mean the most.  With Meijer's HP 1 hour and next day photo services, you can create wall decor and gifts that share photos of your most cherished memories.  You can create photo books, holiday cards, photo canvases, mounted photos and much more.

Thanks to Meijer and HP, I was able to try out these services and share some of the products I created with you!

And let me tell you...it was super easy!  I went into the store, used one of the computer stations and my USB drive loaded with my pictures.  I just selected what format I wanted, size and picture...that's it!  They are ready in an hour or next day, depending on what format you choose.

I chose to create 2 mounted photos, a 5"x7" and an 8"x10".  This format comes with a stand, so it can be displayed either table top or hung on the wall.  These are very reasonably priced as well and would make awesome gifts!!!  Plus they are ready in about an hour.

I also created an 11"x14" wrapped photo canvas.  These come in a variety of sizes from 8"x8" up to 20"x24".  These are usually ready the next day.  I love the quality and I just used a simple picture {of one cute girl!} from my personal camera!  I just have it propped on a shelf, but you could also hang it on the wall.

These would make great additions to a photo wall collage as well!

Now....how would you like the chance to win a $50 Meijer gift card to create some wonderful wall decor or photo gifts of your own?!  I have 3 of them to giveaway...so get entering!!!  Just leave a comment letting me know which product you would like to create.  I will draw a winner on Wednesday, November 27th...you will have until 2pm that day to enter!

Better yet...here are some Meijer coupons to make your photo purchases an even better deal!

lather, rinse, repeat...

The Meijer Kids 2&1 has a new look!  It now has the same packaging as the Meijer Kids bubble bath and body wash.  It comes in several scents...coconut banana, orange, strawberry and watermelon.  They are reasonably priced at $1.79.   But November 9th - 23rd you can save $.50 off 1 Meijer Kids Shampoo & Conditioner.  Just log into your mPerks account and enter the code “meijerkids” and clip the coupon.

Meijer graciously sent us the strawberry scent to try and it sure does smell yummy!  Little Bit loved the smell and was super excited to try a bubble bath, we don't do those very often!

I filled up the tub and put in a few squirts of the bubbles....you just can't have too many bubbles!  I know this pic is a little blurry but I liked it, so it's here anyways!  Little Bit couldn't get enough of the bubble beards...lol!

I was a little worried about using the body wash and bubble bath because we usually stick to sensitive skin products.  The label did say "gentle cleansing" so I figured I'd give it a try.  We have used them all 3 times now and haven't had any issues with her skin.  Yay!

The shampoo works wonderfully...lots of great lather and smells yummy too!

Thanks again to Meijer for letting us give these products a try!  I hope you take advantage of the coupon offer and pick some up for your kiddos.  We will definitely be trying out the other scents available....Little Bit thinks watermelon would be good and I'm leaning towards coconut banana.  Let us know what you think!

easy peasy...Kraft Recipe Makers!

Here are some more goodies that I received from Meijer!  New Kraft Recipe Makers, Capri Sun and Crystal Light were in my box of samples.

I was eager to try the Recipe Makers because they looked so easy and yummy!

Here is the Chicken Caccitore all in the crockpot and ready to cook.  The kit comes with 2 sauces.  One went in the bottom of the crock.  Then I added in frozen chicken breasts, green pepper and mushrooms.  I topped that with the other sauce, put the lid on and cooked for 6-8 hours on low heat.

Right before serving I cooked some tri-color noodles to serve with the chicken caccitore.  It was pretty good.  I'm not a huge green pepper fan but overall this was a yummy dish.  The hubs said he would eat it again!

We also tried the Verde Chicken Enchilada, which was an oven recipe.  We liked it even better!  {I forgot to take pics though...sorry!}  The only extras you need for it are soft tortilla shells, shredded chicken and cheese.  These dishes are great for when you need a dinner in a pinch....or have limited ingredients.  I always have chicken and cheese on hand....and most of the time tortillas too!

So if you are looking for easy dinner ideas, head on over to Meijer and try some of these Recipe Makers for yourself!

{Thanks to Meijer for the opportunity to try these products.  All opinions are my own!}

Soy Vay sauce...yum

Check out this sauce I recently tried, thanks to Meijer and Soy Vay.  The flavor I sampled was Veri Veri Teriyaki.  The website says "this sauce has a flavor so nice, we had to name it twice!"  Love it!  It is no ordinary teriyaki sauce.  Veri Veri Teriyaki includes a combination of garlic, ginger, and toasted sesame seeds with preservative-free soy sauce to bring out one great flavor.

I had some pork chops on hand, so I decided to marinate these for my husband to cook on the grill.  I put 5 pork chops in a zip close plastic bag and added about 1/2 cup of the Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce.  I closed up the bag and made sure all the chops were coated with sauce.  Then I let it marinate in the fridge over night.

Here is what they looked like off the grill.  They had a nice flavor on the outside but we decided to try some more of the sauce for dipping too.  Great for marinating and dipping...yummo!

If you sign up on the Soy Vay website you can get a $1.00 coupon!
