Project Life update & {Elle's Studio features}

I mentioned at the beginning of the year that my Project Life goal was to print pics at the end of the month and get them into layouts before the next month was over.  So far so good!  I have been keeping up with this goal and it makes me want to do a happy dance!  ;)  I just love that I have a space were I can leave my projects out and work on bits here and there.

I use several Project Life kits when creating my pages.  I also love incorporating Elle's Studio products.  If you haven't checked them out yet, why not?!  ;)  Head over to their blog for some inspiration and browse their shop

In the past week I have had 2 of my layouts featured on their blog.  This one was a member gallery spotlight for April.  These were beach pics from our spring break in Myrtle Beach.  My focus was the shadow family picture and just went from there!

This layout I had posted on instagram and was highlighted here.  It shows off more spring break fun!

How are you doing with your scrapbooking goals?  I would love to hear!

Menu Plan Monday

My weeks don't always go as planned, so a couple recipes got bumped and I'm trying them again this week.  The chicken & gnocchi soup is a new recipe...copykat of Olive Gardens.  Fixed it tonight and it was good.  Didn't taste exactly like Olive Gardens but it was still tasty.  We have had the fish tacos twice now and love them....so they are back on the menu again!
Monday ~ chicken & gnocchi soup, apple slices, bread
Tuesday ~ spaghetti & meatballs, salad, garlic bread
Wednesday ~ monte cristo sandwiches, chips, celery sticks
Thursday ~ fish tacos, refried beans, chips & guacamole
Friday ~ pizza night

myrtle beach {sketch challenge}

This is my take on the Thursday sketch challenge over at Elle's Studio.  This is my second time participating.  {Check out my other layout here.}  I love the inspiration it gives me to create layouts.  I don't do much of them anymore since starting Project Life style albums.

I created this 8.5x11 layout of Little Bit at a seaside cafe while we were in Myrtle Beach.  This will go in my 2014 Project Life album as an insert.

Menu Plan Monday

Monday ~ BBQ chicken quesadillas, corn, apple slices
Tuesday ~ scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, bananas
Wednesday ~ monte cristo sandwiches, chips, celery sticks
Thursday ~ chicken & gnocchi soup, salad, bread sticks
Friday ~ date night!

{Frozen} Easter basket...

We are still loving Frozen at our house...singing, reading, watching and playing dolls!  Little Bit loves Elsa and when I saw these Anna and Elsa themed baskets that My Sister's Suitcase put together I knew what I was doing for Little Bit this year!

If you still need some basket ideas these are super fun and easy to put together.  I decided to use most of the Elsa ideas with a few others added in.

It looks like I'm the queen....blue sequin crown is only $1 at Joann Fabrics!
Conceal don't feel...dress up gloves at Party City for about $3.  I really wanted white or light blue but this was the closest I could find.
Frozen fractals...rock candy, .99 from from Party City.
Some people are worth melting for...I put together a "melted Olaf"!  {3 white gum balls, pretzel sticks, chocolate chips and orange jelly bean nose.}
Carrots for Sven...bubbles shaped like carrots at the dollar store.
Big summer blowout...chocolate coins to "spend" at Oakens Trading Post!  Little Bit loves quoting the lines the shop owner says....it is too funny!

I also included a Frozen word search {Target dollar spot}, blue sparkle pen and notebook {Michaels} and six blue plastic eggs with little goodies inside.

So once you decide what to put in your basket, just print out the labels from My Sister's Suitcase and attach them to your items.  I also made one tag of my own {big summer blowout}.

Happy Easter!!!
