I have been pinning ideas for my new craft room for a while and one thing I knew I wanted to make was a washi tape covered letter for my wall similar to this one. Here is what I ended up with and I love it!
I found a kraft colored letter at Joanns, for about $2 I think. I liked the color because it was a close match to my wall color so I wouldn't have to paint the sides. I also liked the fact that it was super light so I could adhere it to the wall with Fun-Tak mounting putty...super easy!
I started off by going through my washi tape and finding colors/patterns that I thought would coordinate with the room. Then I started applying it in vertical rows to the letter.
I just let the tape hang over the edge of the M until I was finished covering it.
Then I turned the letter over on my cutting mat and used an X-acto knife to trim the excess tape off for a clean edge all the way around.
So easy and so cute! I just love it!

Mandy-
This letter idea is genius! I love how simple and inexpensive it is. Plus-I love that you can use tacky stuff to hang it up. You have given me an idea for my kitchen...Thanks for the idea & thanks for stopping by my blog. Come back again soon!

CUTE! I wanna see the whole gallery on your wall! I have been planning some add-on stuff to our bedroom pictures. Of course I have to paint a couple things first, LOL.
Mandy, I love your washi letter! It's darling.
