Deals of the Day...Meijer

I went to Meijer today to pick up a few needed items and just happened to browse through some clearance sections. Many items were marked 75% off! I was able to snag a sweater for me ($4.99), some ribbon (.49 for 4 yards) and some pjs for Little Bit ($3.49). I also found her a winter coat & mittens for next year marked down to $6.24!!! Remember to keep your eyes peeled for those great bargains.

Don't know about the rest of you all but we sure did get some snow today! Little Bit really enjoyed playing in it for a while. She was having so much fun she did not want to come inside! Creative Corner...Limelight Sketch Challenge

I am always in need of birthday cards, so when these challenges come along it inspires me to get crafty. I used some leftover pieces from a Stampin' Up Simply Scrappin' kit and this is what I came up with!
I wanted to do some dry embossing on the chocolate chip cardstock but I don't have a light box, templates or anything...so I took my stylus tool (which I do have!) and a chipboard flower, placed the paper on top of the flower and felt my way around it with the stylus...creating an embossed look.

Recipe:
Paper ~ white cardstock, chocolate chip cardstock, friends & flowers SU simply scrappin kit
Accessories ~ tan fibers, white brad, love & happiness SU rub ons, chipboard flower for dry embossing, corner rounder

Hippo New Year!
