For Mother's Day I had the idea to make our mom's a birthday card organizer. I had a couple ideas on how to do it but nothing was panning out the way I wanted. I was in Big Lots one day and saw these receipt organizers and thought they would be perfect for this project! They had just the right amount of pockets....12....how perfect! {and only $1 each....what a deal!}
So I covered the fronts...
...and added a piece of cardstock to the front of each pocket with the months and lines to write birthday's, anniversary's or other important dates to remember.
The stamp is from a Unity set call Let's Get Scrappy. Looks like it might be retired, here is a pic...
Then I circled the month and drew lines for the dates...
I also put a few hand stamped cards {
like this one} in a few of the pockets! I think they turned out pretty great if I do say so myself! ;)

Great idea. I need to make one for myself. My mom would love one too. I am a new follower. Check me out at www.sciencesoftballandsomethingsweet.blogspot.com.
I like this idea. What a great gift!
As one of the recipients of the organizer, I can say it is a great gift that will be used often! Once again, Mandy has come up with a very creative project.
