photos in the park...

Here are some of my favorites from our recent photo shoot at the park...

Just after this the balloons accidentally floated away.....uh oh!

I think she was a little sad here....after the balloons were gone all she was left with was this little pinwheel....so innocent and cute!

{princess} party

Today my baby girl is 4!!! I can't believe it has been 4 years already. Time sure does go by too fast! Little Bit is such a sweetie and I am extremely blessed to be her mommy! Over Labor Day we had her family birthday party. She wanted a princess theme...
I thought it would be fun for her if she dressed up like a princess for the party, so here she is all decked out in her Snow White dress!

I tried to be thrifty on decor and make what I could. I saw this castle online and thought, maybe I could make one....and this is what I came up with. I started with a 12x12 piece of cardstock for the main tower and went from there.

She really wanted me to use her little princesses in the decor so I set up the castle on the table and put the princesses all around it. We hung some balloons and tissue poms from the chandelier.

I really wanted to make her a cake but we were traveling with it and I had been sick that week...so we just went with a store bought one. I added a few of her little princesses to the top and she was pleased!

Here's one more pic of my little princess with her 2 aunties! Happy birthday Little Bit!!!

{check} this out...current favs

I just wanted to share some of our favorite reads from the past few weeks. Little Bit brought home her first Scholastic book order form and I ordered a couple {cause who doesn't love new books!...AND it helps her classroom earn books!} but I also decided to see what we could get from the library. Here are 4 we checked out and loved them all...

Cock-A-Doodle Hooooooo! by Mick Manning and Brita Granstrom {We just love owls so this was a no brainer to check out...and it wasn't a disappointment. A little owl ends up in a hen house and along the way learns how to be a rooster!}

Too Purpley! by Jean Reidy {This is a fun story of a little girl who tries on many outfits, trying to find just the right clothes to wear to school.}

Purple Little Bird by Greg Foley {This little bird lives in a perfectly purple little world but realizes that something isn't quite right. So he travels to several other animals homes and discovers his home is perfect, it just needs a few different colors...not everything has to be purple!}

and last but not least....a new llama llama book!!! ;)
Llama Llama Home With Mama by Anna Dewdney {Another cute little story of little llama and his mama. In this story little llama is sick and has to stay home all day. Mama is taking care of him but as soon as he starts to feel better mama gets sick, so he has to learn to take care of her!}
